So you're arguement is just that statistically speaking there would be a lion among the billion that is just SOO MUCH BETTER than everyone else just because he's like that. Statistically speaking you are arguing that this is possible.

But for my rebuttal I will have to direct you to Eddie Hall

Eddie Hall is often said to be the strongest man in the world. This isnt the most defined title, but for our arguement, let's say he is.

The average deadlift of a male human is an impressive 331 lbs. Eddie Hall can deadlift around 501 lbs (this is what Hall is known for and it's one of his greatest achievements, so we're using it as an example). That is around 1.5x the amount of a normal human.

It's not exactly the same as a deadlift, but for the purposes of this example, a lion can lift around 2300 lbs. Multiplying by 1.5, that is a 3450 pound lift lion. Even if we're really generous, and give the lion 3x the average lift. That's a really nice 6900 pound lift.

I'm sorry, but that godlike lift cannot power through a single Draco meteor.

And even if this is an infinitly powerful lion, there is no amount of training that can make that lion fly.

Dream On, Watchmaker was a new and incredibly popular drama released in Penacony not too long ago, streaming on Dreamjolt TV that discussed the life of the Nameless arriving on Penacony. Robin usually was not the fondest of biographical dramas, but as she was scrolling on TikTok one day, she stumbled across an edit of a character named Mikhail. The actual man, Mikhail Char Legwork, had long passed away but the actor portraying the young man was... beautiful. She rewatched that edit so many times, it was practically engraved in her at this point. It was embarrassing to admit she started watching it just from the edit alone but hey, social media is powerful nowadays!

"Mikhail in the show is absolutely beautiful." She sighs, resting her head on her hand as she continued to read the comments "He is genuinely one of the most beautiful actors I've seen. The story is amazing but I honestly would've lost interest if it weren't for him."

She quickly pulled up her phone, showing the edit to the camera.

"Like seriously, have you seen anyone finer than that guy? I actually haven't looked up the actor yet, I probably should."

The forest felt frigid, leaves crunching under your rude presence. Desperately running from the mansion you were imprisoned in.

It'd been countless days and nights. Bound to a bed, only given freedom when she finally trusted you. So much for that, she treated you dreadfully. Draining you of every spare ounce of blood every night. Food a luxury not given if you dared to speak up or beg for mercy, water a bargain you would have to gamble your sanity at every opportunity.

She had broken you in every possible way.

But even those with clipped wings attempt to fly.

Your body burned in the dark, running forward. Cursing yourself for not doing this during the daytime. But it's too late for that, just keep going forward.

Did she know you were here?

Had she caught on?

Forest ran on for far too long. Spanning miles, civilization so far away. She had drugged you, dragged you from that nightclub. Nothing but a wicked monster.

Twigs snapped under your feet, snapping noises firing out through the forest forcing birds to run.

Adrenaline powered you where food could not, keeping the engine running far beyond your usual limits. Already reduced from however long you were cooped up.

"Baby!" Her voice rang out the forest, distant, uncertain, she didn't know where you were yet.

But it made your heart pump all the same.

Rei knew you were out here.

And she doesn't stop.

She won't stop.

You kept running, desperate to draw distance. Keep it going.

"Just come back! I don't wanna kill you!" The threat was laced with a fake sweetness, hiding it's rot underneath. She was insane.

Dodge the trees.

Dodge her.

"Last chance!" She called. Rei was right, this was your last chance.

But the energy in you was weakening. Waning. You can't go further like this.

There was a small hole nearby where two trees had overlapped. Giving you a prefect place to hide for a second, just a second. Sitting against the dirt, back resting the oak.

Breathe.

"Oh where are you honey?!" That voice was getting closer. Too close.

Deep breaths.

In.

Out.

Just. Breathe.

"I'm honestly surprised! I didn't think you were able to get out, but you'll regret this!" Her anger grew, much like the sound of her voice.

You could see her now.

Hair disheveled, eyes staring. Teeth showing. She's hungry.

Shit.

You clambered back, hands moving awkwardly. She's still moving, maybe she doesn't know you are here. Maybe you are safe.

"Baby... I know you are somewhere nearby! I can smell that blood of yours. Pumping. You are scared, terrified! But you don't have to be." She said, voice full of faux sincerity.

Stop breathing. She'll hear you.

Focus.

"I'll make you a deal, come out from wherever you are hiding. And, I won't hurt you! In fact. We can discuss maybe a more... Positive arrangement? You'd like that right dear? A nicer life?" She asked, she wasn't moving anymore. Calling out to the forest.

She's lying.

Don't give in.

"But I'm getting angry, my patience is wearing thin. Come out while I'm still offering it.", she began to look around the area.

Sneak a breath in.

She's moving away.

Searching.

She's bending down, searching between ever bush and tree.

She's going to check here.

She's going to find you.

"Final chance! Do you want to test my wrath? You think I've been mean? Every time you cry against my neck, begging me to stop. I can! I can slow down. Just come out." She called out, kicking pebbles against a tree. Every sentence she said desperate to conceal her evident wrath.

She's moving through the circuit, she's getting closer.

Can she see you?

Her eyes. They are narrowing.

Rei is moving closer.

She can see you.

"Oh baby, really? There? Such a pathetic place to hide. But that's to be expected, given how pathetic you are. So disposable yet so brave, perhaps that's why I haven't gotten bored of you yet." She said, watching you smugly. Like a predator who had won and secured its prey.

Because she had.

She would catch you the second you tried to move.

"R-Rei..." Was the only word to escape, anything else you wanted to say dying out in the night air.

"Shhh shh shh, pets don't get to talk while they are hiding from their owner. How about you come out and let me hold you." Her arms outstretched, offering you a chance to embrace your demise.

No way in hell.

"No, stay back!" You stuttered like an idiot, any chance of backing up blocked by the claustrophobic trees surrounding you.

She sighed. "I'm losing my patience baby, really fucking fast. Don't make me grab you like the little brat you are." Rei growled, watching you. "Fine, but just remember. You dug this grave." In a flash she grabbed you, letting your body scratch and struggle against every surface.

You thrashed, fighting against Rei's supernatural strength, she held you still. She had already won. "Rei, just let me go! This is madness!" She frowned, like it genuinely stung.

"Why? You are worthless to society, nobody else needs you. But I have given you purpose, a reason to be. You should thank me." She said. Rei held you against her chest, preventing any more words from leaving your mouth. For she didn't want to hear anything more right now, forcing the scent of her perfume down your nose.

"Breathe in my perfume dear, calm down. Good pets don't get angry, I can't let this become a pattern though. I'm gonna have to hurt you. Bad." You stiffened, body locking up in her arms. Every pleading word fell dead against her chest, no chance to speak. She had taken everything.

"Shh shhh shh." She uttered into your ears. "Don't waste your energy, you'll need it later. Now let's get you home, pets shouldn't wonder too far away. Or else they get themselves hurt." She picked you up, walking step by step.

"I'm not a pet." You whispered to yourself against the smallest crevice of free space near her neck.

"But you are, and there's nothing wrong with that. Some people are just better that way." She replied.

The journey of the house wasn't far away, her walking in silence.

Rei propped you down on her bed softly. "You look weak, damaged, perfect. You are going to look even better when I'm done with you."

"I'm sorry. Please, just. Don't hurt me." You pleaded, but she had already put you in her lap. Stroking your hair.

"It's far too late. I offered you that chance, and I was genuine. But pets who disrespect their owner deserve this." Her teeth dug into your flesh, forcing you to be lightheaded as she took far more than usual. She was actually going to kill you.

She kept draining your blood, the world going out of vision. Out of focus. Nothing but Rei's mouth against your neck.

But she stopped.

Just in time.

"Delicious, even better when your scared. But that's be too easy right? Not a real punishment and that's what you deserve." Rei dragged her nail against the wound, making it worse. So much worse.

You barely noticed her absence, returning quickly with a knife. And soon it was cutting at your arm.

You screamed.

She let you.

"Let it out, bleed every drop you can for your owner." Rei kept up the pressure, your eyes glazed. Barely able to identify anything but the sanguine syrup Rei was inevitably going to enjoy.

"I-, can't take... More" Every word was labored, a fight against exhaustion and pain.

"But you can, just a bit more for me pet. And we can let this entire saga behind us." She cooed, pausing for just a second.

The pain re-emerged on the other arm, she was never going to let you forget this. Everything burned, everything was foggy.

Make it stop.

" All over. Let me clean this up." You could feel Rei all over your body, licking everything up. Uncomfortable writhing of her tongue running against the wounded flesh.

"Now, I'll shower you, since you are too weak to do it right now. Try to run away again and I'll kill you. Properly." She warned, but you could barely hear it over the ears ringing.

"My pathetic little pet."

Malleus sends all of Sage’s Island to sleep in Book 7 so that they might enjoy “unending happiness,” “without sorrow, where you will never lose a single person—not friends, not family.”

Despite how Lila was the person whom Malleus was attempting to save, for Lilia alone this turns into a dream world where Malleus is unable to enforce his own rule of “without sorrow,” resulting in a recreation of the Human/Fae war of 400 years ago where he served as General of the Right of Brarland’s royal guard (more: the rules of the dreams / why Lilia’s dream was sad).

In the dream Briarland—as it was known before it was reduced to Briar Valley—has been invaded by humans who are cutting down the forests, laying waste to the mountains and plundering the resources through illegal mining, driving direbeasts into fae villages.

Lilia’s task in his dream is possibly a role that he filled in the real world: to deliver a letter from Princess Maleanor warning the humans to cease their ill-mannered conduct, search for delegates that have gone missing, and expel the human soldiers who are mining fae lands without having received permission to do so.

Lilia initially refuses to allow the group of Silver, Sebek, Grim and the prefect to join his troops, only acquiescing once Silver and Sebek manage to knock of his mask in a fight.

During their journey they come across personal belongings of missing Briarland envoys and do battle with human soldiers. While they do reach the citadel where they are to deliver their letter it is revealed to have been rigged with a trap that gives Lilia what is possibly a near-fatal wound when he rescues Silver, the human troops gone to besiege the castle of the fae princess, Maleanor, while Lilia was away.

Lilia’s remaining troops return to Maleanor where she greets Lilia by striking him repeatedly with lightning and refuses to heed his advice and retreat, commanding him to escape with her unborn child while she distracts the human troops.

Lilia refuses her heed her orders despite how she strikes both him and her egg with lightning to force his obedience, begging her to flee with him: “What am I to do if I lose both Raverne and you?”

Maleanor says that Lilia is to hatch her egg in her stead if she does not return despite how dragon eggs can only be hatched by their parents’ magic and affection. Lilia claims that he knows nothing of parental affection and has never loved anyone and Maleanor reveals that this is untrue: he loved both her and Raverne, her husband, making it impossible for him to not love their child.

Maleanor has Lilia dragged forcibly from the castle, and when he insists on going back to her Baul (Sebek’s grandfather) convinces him to press on for the sake of saving the heir.

Their evacuation is interrupted by the Dawn Knight, who recognizes both Lilia and the egg he carries and still saves him from collapsing rubble, telling him to flee before he is spotted.

Lilia and Baul are pursued by human troops, with Baul volunteering to hold back a group of at least 15 soldiers on his own, despite Lilia’s protests: “It’s your head and the egg they want--neither of which we can let these wretched creatures have.”

Lilia is still captured by human soldiers, saved from imminent execution by Silver. Lilia attempts to sacrifice himself for Silver to take the egg on alone but Silver refuses, carrying Lilia on his back to the capital.

They are joined again by Baul and Sebek, and upon reaching the castle Lilia declares his intent to return to Maleanor, but then it is revealed that the princess has died, presumably slain by the Dawn Knight.

Briarland’s senate blames Lilia for her death, shaming him for failing to protect her and insulting him for being a useless “dirty bat” and banishing him from the capital despite Baul’s attempts to defend him. Lilia resigns from his post and Malleus is taken away from him. 

Lilia says, “There’s no place for me here anymore…no one left to protect,” his despair drawing darkness that swallows him. 

In a continuation of the dream and/or flashback we see Lilia called to the castle by Queen Maleficia 10 years later, in secret, as Malleus is refusing her magic infusions and is in danger of dying if a solution cannot be found. Lilia travels the world at Maleficia’s behest (communicated through Baul) to search for a way to hatch Malleus, despite how fae seem to be violently unwelcome in human cities, as “foul monsters.”

Lilia periodically visits the egg, which periodically accepts magic.

After finding an unspecified location that took him years to reach Lilia’s unique magic manifests: the ability to see the memories of objects.

While the place where Lilia is at this point in the dream is not named, it is an identical background that appeared during Spectral Soiree: a location in the spectral realm called “Sleepless Castle.”

According to Silver, Lilia traveled to the spectral realm because “his work once led him to the border between life and death,” but it is not specified if Lilia’s visit to the spectral realm and the place where he discovered his unique magic in his efforts to hatch Malleus are connected.

Over time Lilia comes across humans who do not react with violence or anger upon realizing he is fae, telling Malleus that there are fewer people who throw stones at him, and there is a lot he wants to show Malleus when he is born.

Lilia receives a sudden communication from Baul saying that Malleus may not survive until the next full moon, as he has stopped accepting the queen’s magic for three months, his heartbeat has weakened and anyone who approaches him gets repelled by intense lightning strikes.

Lilia alone is capable of hearing Malleus crying inside of his egg and goes to him despite the lightning strikes, realizing that Malleus is lonely. Lilia offers up his magic and his life and Malleus finally hatches, will Silver observing that it was the happiest moment in Lilia’s life.

The senate appears and begins to praise Lilia for his efforts, calling him a hero, at which point Lilia begins to wake up due to the contrast with reality, where he was actually abused for daring to touch the royal heir, with Malleus again taken away from him.

With his in-dream birth Malleus is able to manifest in Lilia’s dream and reveals he was never told any of the sacrifices that Lilia made for him, and Lilia fully awakens.

Lilia sends the group of Silver, Sebek, Grim and the prefect away in order to distract Malleus alone.

I have to admit something. I don't really like this song. I feel like I have to be 'in the mood,' so to speak, to listen to this song. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics are fucking phenomenal (with my fav lines being "The only thing I haven't done yet is die / And it's me and my plus one in the afterlife" and "So long live the car crash hearts / Cry on the couch and all the poets come to life / Fix me in forty-five"), and also do a wonderful job at addressing the pedestal they had been put on at this point in their careers, becoming the mentioned posters boy for the emo movement. Maybe it's the Jay-Z feature? I'm not really into his music/rap in general, so maybe that's it? I don't know.

*quick side tangent: I've always kind of wondered what the "fix me in forty-five" is referring to. The most common interpretation people come to is that the forty-five is referring to a forty-five minute therapy session where he is crying about his problems on a couch (the stereotypical set up for a therapy session). I've also seen interpretations where the 45 is referring to music, both singles and the length of an album as most are between 40-45 mins, and this one happens to fall at 47. I'm going more with the therapy interpretation, but lmk what you think!!

There are some songs by my favorite artists where I'm like, "Eh, I'm not a huge fan of this song," but then I listen to a live performance, and I'm like, "Oh my god, I've been missing out on this great song." This is one of those. This song is one the most depressing songs Fall Out Boy has ever released imo. Just look at some of these lyrics:

I don't know if this constitutes as a fun fact, but I have to say this song title very slowly or else I start stuttering really bad. Sorry, back to the review! I don't really have much to say about this song. I love this one little line in the song, "We only want to sing you to sleep / In your bedroom speakers, whoa-oh," because they do! I put on my likes playlist (which is mostly their music lol) before I go to sleep.

One time, I was playing this song in the car and she was like, "What the fuck is he saying? How do you listen to this?" and I shrugged.

UGH THIS SONG MAKES ME WANT TO CRY. It's such a beautiful, heartbreaking song. To me, it's so clear that these two have broken up for one reason or another and there is still a part of both of them where they love each other. I just love this song so much. I love the change from "Things aren't the same anymore / Some nights, they get so bad / You almost pick up the phone" to "Things aren't the same anymore / Some nights, they get so bad / I almost pick up the phone" SOBBING.

This is another song I found out I was singing wrong embarrassingly late. I thought Patrick sang, "I've got the record reviews, baby," and not, "I've got the red carpet blues, baby." The lyrics are just phenomenal with some examples being:

This album is amazing, and I think this is my #1 Fall Out Boy album, period. Cliche, I know, but I don't care! I also find it funny that this is my fav Fall Out Boy album and I was born EXACTLY one month later to the day. I should have been going to FOB concerts during this time instead of being a baby :((

Northeast Basement Part 1 Analysis!

So Warriors chose Wild as his dungeon partner because he thought he had experience, but he didn't ask to confirm. just a few pages in, we have our first miscommunication.

Although his new sword from Four is impressive and a massive improvement over whatever he was wielding before, I can't imagine it does all the work for him. Wild absolutely has some great sword skills, and I think he kind of downplays that a little here.

however this is a compliment towards four also! and after the events around sunset part 7 or so, this is a great step for their relationship

Wild's right, it's not like he has no experience at all. 120 shrines is quite a lot, and although they are different from dungeons in the previous games, he probably knows enough to not make this dungeon a complete disaster for his group. And even if he didn't...

by any chance does Wind have access to his pendant thing? I haven't played Wind Waker yet, but if so that would be great, since Warriors and Time (being the two main leaders of the chain) could talk to each other and help them figure stuff out.

I've already seen the totk references mentioned by other people so I'm not going to go too much into it, but it made me laugh ;D I guess my next question would be, how will Warriors react to Wild's solutions to the dungeon's puzzles? The former prefers to make plans, the latter just does whatever works. They will really need to talk to each other and develop a general idea of how they're going to approach this.

I haven’t gone too into my feelings about the dw finale, (and keep in mind I’m also heavily biased towards donna noble) but I feel like…there was good reason to bring Donna back and give her a happy ending? We still don’t know why Rose is there, if it’s something with Bad Wolf or what, but like, girl already had her ending (twice kind of???) and already *did* come back in an anniversary special in a huge role. Like it feels like a lot of times they bring her back it’s as a ‘look at how this person was The Most Important Companion Ever’ and plus the dw finale vs the 60th anniversary specials are just so different in general it’s tough to compare them yknow? I completely agree. I think it's kind of annoying when people act like Donna's return was JUST nostalgia bait bc ok. Bringing David Tennant back I think was more nostalgic but I'll allow it because I think David and Catherine should be in stuff together forever and ever amen.

Donna however ..Donna felt unresolved to me. I know I had been actively gunning for a Donna return since like. 2018 so I'm not objective here but she left off in a way that it felt like there should've been more to the story. It was just a tragic ending it felt! Incomplete! Because like yes she got her memories wiped and that should be that but her memories were also a ticking time bomb. And it felt like at some point we should know if that bomb is ever gonna go off! Because they weren't even properly wiped, they were more sublimated and abled to be triggered somewhat easily!!! I'm glad we finally got some fuckin. Follow up! And that's without accounting that The Doctor was carrying her with them and being haunted by her perpetually.

Also. I think the placement of David and Catherine's return works better narratively. It was a transitionary point, just three episodes, both to celebrate the show and get the narrative of doctor who from the older era into the new. To allow Ncuti Gatwa's doctor to thrive and have fun without carrying /quite/ so much baggage as had been backed up through 13. (How well that actually got executed is a different discussion) It was both a passing of the torch and a real conclusion for Donna, so, like. Yeah. I think it Worked TM overall.

And honestly as much as I'd enjoy hearing like. Some 14donna audios (because again. I want Catherine and David to do everything together forever). I don't feel like I need to see them again. I am happy with their arc I am happy with their ending I don't. NEED to see them again.

And I feel the same about like. Rose. Clara. Amy and Rory. It'd be fun to get some EU stuff about them, or maybe a little cameo, and I do think anniversary specials are kind of free reign to bring back whoever tf you want!!

And this casting is so. Annoying. And NOT because I don't love Billie Piper but there's a difference 2 me about tying up loose ends/celebrating some of the past during celebratory episodes and being firmly STUCK in the past instead of moving forward and doing something interesting. And Billie's (stunt) casting feels like the later to me.

Also also. If you were gonna bring back an actress to give her a new, better ending. Freema was right there. All this bringing back of characters and we didn't even get to see Martha interact with 15 (or get an apology) 😔😔😔😔

Tldr Donna's return felt earned while Billie Piper (through no fault of her as an actress!!) feels hackneyed. Love and light.

Hi! I actually stayed up to play the Cantata update and honestly fell asleep as soon as I finished it (I'm not used to staying up until 2:30 anymore!) but now that I've woken up again I wanted to say that I loved the third chapter for a myriad of reasons. The thing that stands out the most to me about Cantata is how distinct each of the characters are; Vicente, Calliope, Corinne, and Bayram all have such specific nuances to them (even if we haven't officially met Bayram yet) that make each of them delightful to talk to; they have such different personalities that I'm really looking forward to seeing them in the same room for longer periods of time! Evelyn, Jonah, and Thaleia too are wonderful - I love that we got to see more of Thaleia this time, and I very quickly fell in love with her lol! You have such a skill for making characters instantly likeable to the reader.

Honestly, I could go on forever about what I liked, but I figured I should just talk on the main point rather than flooding your inbox with an essay 😅 Thank you so much for the update!

It’s very important to me that my main characters are not just unique, but essential—they’re not just filling a trope, but that the story wouldn’t progress without them in those roles. Long post but I had to get my thoughts on Hudson & Rex (and certain fans) out.

This has been in the back of my mind for a while, and I think I've finally put my finger on what's been bothering me about the way a certain online contingent are reacting to the imagined idea that John Reardon has been forced out of Hudson & Rex.

TL;DR - We have nothing to go on that John's not returning and anyone who feels owed an answer by the studio/actors/dog handlers who have no say over the studio's decisions needs to take a good long look at everything. Use some critical thinking skills and just breathe for a second. And maybe some compassion for the fact that John nearly died half a year ago.

(And spamming every social media account related to the show demanding answers is not going to get anyone what they want. In fact, it's highly likely to do the opposite and I'm not surprised people's comments have been deleted. Especially for all the tangential people - but even for John! - they're probably pretty miserable to get yet another contact about this.)

More below the cut.

First off, let me say I'm a huge fan of the show. This is probably one of the first shows in a while that I got so into so fast. It has a lot of the things I love in media all rolled into one, I would be upset if they truly did kill off Charlie Hudson, and I've been anxiously awaiting any cast news. However...

None of us are owed a single thing by any studio, producer, or actor, especially not on our timelines. I know we live in a day and age of constant news and instant gratification, but we certainly aren't owed what might currently be tentative, confidential information regarding an actor's contract. If both parties haven't signed a final agreement, then they likely cannot publicly publish any related details. Maybe they're still negotiating. Maybe John is still trying to figure out how much he can commit to for a new season. Because lemme tell ya, acting might seem glamorous, but do you know how many hours they have to put in and how physically demanding even a Hallmark movie is? Let alone Hudson & Rex where Charlie is regularly jumping off of things and fighting people? More on why this is important in point 3.

We basically have never been told the regular stars were coming back. I looked but can't find where the show announced that any of their actors were coming back for seasons 2-7. They just said the show was returning. And... that's what's happened with season 8. The promo materials thus far have been on par with every other season's promo materials. (Because I love the show, but for some reason they never really put out much until the season premiere is nearly upon us.) Did we get an announcement that Luke joined the cast? Yes. Because he's a new addition (and it's often part of the contract that they'll promote it.) Did we get an announcement that Justin, Kevin, or Mayko are coming back? No. So... maybe hold up on assuming John's not returning just because nobody has mentioned that he is. We've never gotten much early promo content, just that the show was back… so why are all of these people suddenly so sure that John's been punished by the studio for having cancer? Speaking of which…

John practically just got the all-clear from his cancer diagnosis. In late December, he posted that it was his first night out since being diagnosed. (And my heart broke at the hospital picture he included because he looked so tired and sick. His "now" picture was drastically better, but you could tell he was still recovering.) Are these fans all forgetting that the man literally almost died not even 6 months ago? I don't know if their understanding of cancer is what they've seen on a couple of pieces of media or if the cavalier way most shows (including Hudson & Rex) handle injuries, poisonings, etc most of the time has warped any sense of what actually happens when a human being is deathly ill, but... illness wrecks your body. Chemo wipes out your immune system. Fighting cancer weakens your entire system. How are people demanding he turn around and come back to an extremely physically demanding role and spend 20+ hours a day on a set for weeks? They might still be figuring out just how much John can physically do. For that matter, John's doctors might not have even cleared him yet and the studio is waiting it out or John may have just recently decided if he was well enough to come back. (Also, he has a wife and three little kids. I'm pretty sure the seriousness of them losing him was a lot to deal with. Maybe he needed time to decide if he's able to fully commit to coming back?)

John's likely still dealing with a lot with having lost Diesel. They were incredibly close. All of the interviews I've seen talk about how much they bonded (they were co-stars for 6.5 seasons!). I remember one where they talked about how they had to keep Rex off-set when they filmed scenes where Charlie was in danger or got hurt because Diesel wanted to tear people apart for touching him. So then consider that John's fighting cancer, and then Diesel gets sick and passes away - and John probably couldn't even really see him much if at all because of him also being sick. (How hard must it be to have your co-star die of the same thing you're fighting? And not even be able to grieve properly because of the sheer amount of energy you're expending just trying to stay alive yourself?) Can we show some compassion toward the guy? And not just wail about how we're being cheated of... well, anything? Like, come on, cancer should put everything into perspective!

Luke joining the cast has 0 bearing on if John's staying. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Luke was added so the show could continue having a lead detective who can fall down a well for Rex to rescue while John comes back to regular episodes slowly. Maybe they'll be partners long-term. Who knows. NONE OF US DO. That's kinda my whole point here. (And yeah, the show is called Hudson & Rex, not just Inspector Rex, but I have a feeling these fans would've still lost their minds when the original show changed their human cast multiple times.) The only thing that the show starting to film season 8 means is they have a required schedule to stick to in order to meet legal requirements with the studio. Which could also have a lot to do with why Luke was added as a series regular.

Can we all just calm down and find our thinking caps? I'm aware that might be too much to ask from the internet at large, but I'm also really tired of all the panicking fans I've seen posts from lately.

At the end of the day, this is a television show that does not actually control any of our lives, and demanding they cancel it and end everyone's jobs in a very competitive industry just because you're upset about something that may not actually be happening just feels really self-centered and unfair to me.

Maybe John's leaving after all (and if he is, I'll be sad). Maybe he's coming back eventually. But also maybe don't harass every single person related to the show and contribute to making all of them miserable just because you feel like you're owed an answer and a specific outcome?

Week 2 ~ Blood Simoleons (2.4) ~ Monday

It's apparently Gnome day or something and so I will do my best to just ignore it and carry on with my day, or rather, begin my day. These things are tiny, usually bearded, and always frozen in one pose or another. No one knows where they come from or how they get into your home and I honestly think no one wants to find out. I will not let them hijack my day so if you do not mind I'll be ignoring them.

Today's breakfast, pancakes! Extra fluffy as well because...well, why not? It is a big day as there is another audition ahead of me, a really important one, but aren't they all at this point? Every opportunity could be the one, my breakout moment, and each victory is just another bullet point to my growing resume. Day by day I am making my mark on this town

After breakfast I take a break with a little gaming. It just gives my mind a chance to wander without having to think about auditions, lines, and the pressure that comes with them. I should point out that I'm pretty terrible at games. Like even easy mode feels impossible to me but I am having fun all the same and that is what matters?

See! Little Bruno is also unsettled by these gnomes, I catch him howling at one that appeared in my bedroom and I couldn't help but feel for the little guy. There's really little I can do. Oh, I could try moving them but why touch them at all? They are kind of creepy, to be honest.

Later, Papa calls with one of his usual check-ins. He asks about my week and I let him know that he will be seeing me on screen soon. He's excited to hear that but I must tamper his expectations and let him know that it's really just a couple of commercials, blink and you might miss them. He's proud all the same because of course he is, I can always count on his support.

One upside to acting is the flexible schedule. It's not your usual 9 to 5. Some days are hectic, sure, but others are wide open and give me nothing but time. With that time I wander the city a little but you could guess that I would end up at Starlight Boulevard and before the Walk of Stars.

I stop before a blank star and I can see it now. My name carved there for all of time. It oculd be this one or one over there or there or really anywhere, this walk will find space for Magdalena.

A quiet little command echoes through my mind: Be Memorable.

I wanted to go home after that, go over my lines and prepare for my audition, but a stranger catches my eye at the nearby park. Confident, that's what he oozed, and he was watching me in that bold way, posture alone bringing me closer to him step by step. I should mention that he wore a cowboy hat and boots along with it.

"Haven't seen you around and I'm out here every day," he speaks in a lazy but smooth tone. His sunglasses hide his eyes but I know he's checking me out.

"Magdalena," I say offering him a smile. "You can call me Mags or Lena, either one works."

"I'm not a big fan of nicknames so let's stick with Magdalena."

We sit and talk a while. I'm curious about him, he's got a flashy look, too much jewelry and all of it screams 'Look at me' and again, those cowboy boots don't fit a casual city park. Normally, I'd avoid a man like this, looks like the kind of guy that my sister Carina would be all over, shady guys that talk big and carry trouble around them like it their wallet...and yet I'm still curious.

Eventually, I learn that he's a music producer and he uses that to explain his style.

"It's just packaging," he says with a little laugh. "Gotta sell the image before you can sell the sound."

I exhale, just a little bit because I was worried that he was a drug dealer or something worse. "Oh, a musician? What genre?"

"I just produce, so no genre, don't want to limit myself. I put my music out there and hope that someone finds use for it."

"Ahh, behind the scenes then?"

He nods, "Yep, behind the scenes, I don't dig the spotlight too much, I just have passion for the music and want to create something real."

"I see," and now I go from intrigued to interested. Marco was fire and desire, pure impulse and instinct. Aaron, yes, that is his name, is something else. Grounded. He's just starting his career, dreaming dreams that are similar to mines I am sure, and he feels more my equal than Marco does.

"You uh, an actress, yeah?" he asks.

For some reason I laugh, partly because I am enjoying the conversation and partly because it seems silly to say with my little commercial roles. "Yeah, I'm trying at least! I do have a pretty big audition later today and so I can't stay and talk for too long."

"Yeah, no worries, can I have your phone-"

"Of course! See you around!"

Back at home and Bruno greets me as if i've been gone for years. Tail wagging and he's bouncing with joy. He's so sweet! I hate that I can't stay for long so I feed his food bowl and grab a plate of brownies because its all I can have before going out again and I can't even afford much because the bills leave me with only 120 simoleons...

But I'm not going to panic because I have an audition to crush! Wish me luck!

It was simingly just another team (family) dinner day. The season was over and done with so the guys were relaxed too. Everybody agreed with Inigo hosting said dinner because otherwise him and his family wouldn't be able to come. His wife would have to stay at home with their youngest kid and he didn't want that.

So the whole team was set to arrive at Inigo's place in two hours. Your boyfriend was at home getting ready while you were still at the office, going through paperwork. You texted him saying you would come directly to the party as to not have him going late too.

He responded with an 'Okay'. Too dry. He always used emojis and what not. It was so unlike him to text you like this. You could sense that something was wrong. And it wasn't something minimal that was wrong, something fountamental was out of place.

The moment Pau crossed his door, Inigo could feel that the younger wasn't himself. He was twitching, toying with the rings that adorned his fingers and he had a look in his eyes that didn't seem like him at all. his girlfriend wasn't by his side either.

He didn't want to push him with questions just yet. He let him have fun for a bit with the rest of their teammates, in the hopes that he would be better soon. That wasn't the case unfortunately.

"Kid come 'ere for a bit..." Inigo said in his typical dad tone when addressing your boyfriend.

Pau made a beeline towards him but didn't sit down. Inigo got up and guided hm towards his and Nerea's bedroom. They sat down at the foot of the bed.

"Pau, what's going on? You seem so unlike yourself today?"

"I-I don't know how to explain it really..." your lover replied.

"Take a breath kid, don't rush it, say whatever has been troubling you. It's just me here." Inigo replied with a hand on the younger's shoulder.

"I'm not feling okay with Y/n and it's tearing me apart.." Pau said with tears barely not falling from his eyes.

"Kid, take a breath for me, yes?"

Pau did so. He closed his eyes and felt Inigo's hands on his own. He felt secure and safe with the other. The older one was always so caring towards him and it had him feel better for an instant.

"I guess the-the best way to describe it is that-that I'm insecure"

"Explain dear, talk to me"

"It just- she is older and she is beautiful, like etremely so and-and I just feel l-like she could have whoever in the world"

"And what about it?" Inigo asked, his tone calm, quiet

"Why would she ever want me Ini? I just don't understand... why me? Of all people in the planet?" He was shaking while saying that and Inigo did what he thought to be the most natural move. He hugged the younger own tight, dradling him against his chest like he was his youngest kid while in truth he was the oldest one.

"She loves you Pau. Not anyone else. You. That's why she chose you love"

"I gue-ess, it just doesn't mak-e much se-ense to me-e"

Inigo didn't continue the conversation. He knew that the only person who could ease this feeling inside his son was said son's girlfriend. He had to talk to you, explain this so you knew how to approach Pau with this.

Almost an hour later, you entered Inigo's home. The dinner was going to be served in an hour so you had time to see the rest and find your boyfriend. However, before you managed to find your lover, Inigo found you.

"Hey, can we talk for a minute?" he asked politely

"Sure" you replied and he guided you towards the far corridor, away from the rest of the guests.

"Is this about Pau?" you asked a bit anxiously

"Yes, how did you know?"

"Apart from the fact that I haven't seen him anywhere, he also texted me weirdly, like he wasn't himself.." you trailed off and Inigo's eyes softened.

"He had a mini breakdown.. He is in the nursery, hanging around with the rest of my kids. Look, before you go in there, he admitted that he feels insecure"

"About what? Our relationship?" you asked concerned

"He feels that you could have any man and he doesn't understand why you would choose him"

"Because I love him and his my entire world.. How could he not know? I need to talk to him"

"Go, up the stairs, first door on your left, tell my daughters I asked them to come down stairs. Go kid he needs you"

You smiled at Inigo. He always treated your boyfriend as if he were his own son. You climbed up the stairs quietly. You found the door a bit open and you smiled upon seeing what was going on. Here he was. The love of your life, sitting on the floor playing with his little sisters. You noticed how he seemed drained of energy. How his eyes were red and puffy from most likely crying.

You knocked on the door quietly. They all turned to look at you. The girls smiled upon seeing you but your boyfriend seemed troubled.

"Your father asked me to tell you he needed your help with something" you told the kindly and they immediately went down to find Inigo. You were left alone with yor boyfriend.

"Hey love" you said quietly while sitting down beside him, not as close as you normaly would.

"Hey..." he replied. He didn't meet your eyes, too afraid you would see right through him and his insecurities.

"Amor, look at me please" he didn't though. You grasped his chin between your fingers and tried to made him look at you.

"Talk to me, please. Don't shut me out.." sadness dripping from your voice.

"I-I don't understand.."

"What don't you understand mi vida?"

"I-I don't understand why you love me..."

You couldn't bare it anymore. You made him sit closer to you almost on your lap. You hugged him close to your body, touching him everywhere you could reach.

"How can you not know?" your voice cracked and he turned to look at you again, this time willingly

He did, albeit hesitantly, but he did. Those sea green eyes were so sad, he looked like a kicked puppy left out in the storm with no home. But you were his home, you would always be, even when he failed to understand why.

"Apperance-wise you must be the most beautiful person I've ever laid my eyes on. Your eyes that are always so expressive and warm and always seem to magnetize me. Your body that is scalpted like a greek god, your height and the way you easily tower over me. Your deep brown hair that I love running my fingers through. And don't even let me get started on how beautiful your soul is. You are definitely the kindest person I've ever met. You are always there for the people you care for and you love everyone that you surround yourself with so much. You are so polite and kind with fans, so sweet around kids. So clever and smart, both on and off the pitch. You are so talented, to the point that you can do nearly everything. You can play football professionaly, you are good in playing most sports. You hoped that he would finally understand how you felt.

"I guess I needed your reassurance that you love me.." he admited quietly

"Guapo, frm now on I'll be sure to remind you every single day, I swear. I love you so much!" you told him and kissed him full on the lips. He kissed back with equal intesity.

"Do you feel okay enough to go down and have dinner with the rest of the team?"

"Si, I feel quite a bit better, let me just calm down for a minute and we can go" he replied

"As long as you want amor, take as long as you want.." you responded while you held him in your arms.

You knew he wasn't okay just yet. It would take time to help him see just how important he was. You were willing to remind him every day until he saw himself the way you saw him. And even when he managed that, you would keep reminding him just how important he was anyway.

It’s a pleasure writing to you finally as freely as I wish as the day comes to a close. Though my day was full of duties and paper work, I couldn’t help my mind falling back into you. It’s lovely to be the day of our anniversary. I still remember that day so clearly.

You, dressed so lovely, smiling more perfectly then any person I’d ever meet, your eyes sparkling with a relentless joy. I miss that face, that joy. I’ve seen photos of you through paperwork about the bunker party…your eyes are shallow. I miss that spark.

I wish I could see you this day but sadly…I’m yet to get a reply on rather or not I’m aloud to visit you. I was planning to surprise you with a gift I’d gotten for you…I suppose it must wait.

How is the bunker? And even more importantly, how is Damian? Has he…changed his mind yet? I surely hope he’s no longer swallowed by a want to come here, nothing good comes of it.

It’s surely to be a blood bath here soon…I feel it prickling my skin. I know soon the red threading on my coat won’t be the only red that is on my military uniform. I’ll just be thankful it’s black. Maybe the veil may even keep blood out my eyes…morbid though.

Salutations my dearest,

No matter how busy the day, you're always in my mind my love, it makes me happy to hear that you find yourself in this situation as well. It's comforting, truly. Yes, I suppose I've been growing more, tired. Things haven't been the same without you, and that has been draining me.

No response, sadly, that is not shocking. But we must be patient, and I will be. The bunker was calm today, they quite enjoyed the large breakfast I prepared for them. Damien he.. well. I confronted him about his request to join the fight. I told him he couldn't, I wouldn't let him. He's too young, I needed him to understand that much. That didn't go down well. He yelled at me, at everything. He screamed how much he hated being cooped up here, how much he hated the same thing day after day, how much he hated me. He told me he wasn't a baby anymore, that if he wanted to fight, he would. I stayed firm and calm during it, but truly, nobody could understand how much that hurt me, to hear my own child tell me he despises me. Perhaps it was out of his fit of rage, but his words won't leave my head. They've been affecting me, I've been, tired, less motivated. But I push through, I won't give up, not on him, not on anything. He's been in his room since, hasn't come out to eat or anything. I left a warm meal at his door and a small note. I'm hoping he'll come out soon.

Morbid is expected my love. It is a war after all, blood is expected. My love, dearest, I want you to know no matter how much blood is on your hands, no matter whose is drenched on your coat, I will love you always.

There's a certain CCCC summary video that we really, really like. We think it is a great video for people if they want to grasp the story more clearly, if they're confused, or if they're listening to the album for the first time.

That video being Chonny Jash and the Weight of the Mind on Youtube by W3tBl@nk3t. We think they cover it really well.

However, I'm sharing this for a different reason; they say few certain things that really struck with us until now, that I'd like to share with the fandom. Sometimes, we see people really just.. Miss the point of CCCC entirely, and I'd like to shine a light on what was said here. If you'd like to hear this for yourself on video, the timestamp is 35:57-36:45.

“..I bet we all could relate to that, they are the prime example of the side of you that suffers and the side of you that hates yourself for suffering:

The side of you that just wants to slow down and feel everything even to the unhealthy extent of not being able to do anything else(1), but also the side of you that so desperately wants you to get over it(2).

Sure, laying in bed all day every day to rot isn't healthy, but neither is boiling things down and invalidating your own emotions. Both are paths to inevitable disaster, and that's what Chonny is doing here. Keep in mind that the idea behind this album is being whole, and that means neither of these sides are entirely in the right or the wrong; this album is about inner compromise and acceptance(3).”

1.) The side of you that suffers; Heart. He is representative of Whole's emotions, he holds them. Your emotions can go haywire, especially when one's mentally ill and has no way of their feelings being validated. An emotional person like Heart suffers under the weight of crushing, devastating feelings. He wants to feel things out, have time to just process everything, even if it takes them days or weeks to get over it. It's not healthy, but feeling is what he does, and he wants to help because he knows he has importance. Solely focusing on just your emotions isn't the best thing to do, however.

2.) The side of you that so desperately wants you to get over it; Mind. Many people have been there, have wanted themselves to stop wallowing in their own emotions and just do something else, even to the point where you think feeling things out is unnecessary. This is also unhealthy, but not intentionally. Like Heart, Mind just wants to help, everything he does is in best interest. This is what he thinks will get them to move on the quickest; to leave behind emotions and focus on anything BUT that. Also not the best thing to do.

3.) This album is about inner compromise and acceptance; About being whole. Neither of Heart and Mind are right nor wrong. They have their own ways of doing things, of what they think will help their whole self out the most, but both are unhealthy despite the good intentions. They fight over who's wrong or right, when they shouldn't even be doing so in the first place. It's your thoughts against your emotions, basically; your feelings contradict your thoughts, and it leads to an inner war of sorts. This won't make things better, which is why you can't have Mind over Heart or vice versa; you'll need both of them. In the album, they are only able to be whole when they get along. They harmonize, they 'combine', they see eye to eye with each other and work together instead of fighting over and over. Inner compromise is achieved with this, and acceptance can lead them away from any disaster that there's to come.

What we're trying to say is that mental health is a large thing tackled within CCCC, and yet we see a lot of people who overlook it; thus, end up missing the point of the whole album. We see a lot of people believe Mind's perspective a little too much and treat Heart quite harshly, or the other way where people demonize Mind and say that Heart is perfect, when it's not really that in the slightest.

This is not a hate post towards people's interpretations of CCCC or how they view characters, I'm just saying that people can tend to overlook what's in the very narrative, and we see a concerning amount of people do such.

I'm going to be so real I do not understand tim & steph shippers who feel that Steph dating Tim again would save her character. You can make an argument that giving Tim a more compelling love interest would be beneficial for him! And you can at least make an argument that the fujo mischaracterization of Steph would stop. However she'd still, inevitably, be treated as a prop character/extension for someone more popular 😭 it also wouldn't make her appear in more books! Tim doesn't have many frequent appearances at the moment either! You can just say you like the couple and want them back together without acting like you have some kind of moral stance
